Lance Armstrong Is Banned From Ironman Competition

Have you guys heard the news about Cyclist Lance Armstrong? He is banned from the Ironman Triathalon in Nice because of an ongoing doping-probe investigation. There are five other previous teammates of his included in this investigation as well.

Other riders accused Armstrong of using drugs to enhance his cycling performance in the past but he has NEVER failed a drug test.

I see why they have to investigate all allegations but to me this seems more like a witch hunt. If you can't beat somebody, take them out of the race so to speak. This man did not fail a single drug test people!! Let him compete and show the world what he's made of. Do a 1000 more drug tests if you must but don't ban him from something that he's worked his whole life for.

Quote from Armstrong himself;

"Unlike many of my accusers, I have competed as an endurance athlete for 25 years with no spike in performance, passed more than 500 drug tests and never failed one," Armstrong said on his website. "That USADA ignores this fundamental distinction and charges me instead of the admitted dopers says far more about USADA, its lack of fairness and this vendetta than it does about my guilt or innocence."
My heart breaks for this athelete. Back in February the prosecutors in the Justice Department closed their investigation on this matter because of lack of evidence. So why are they bringing the same charges against him now?? Not to mention the use of the SAME witnesses. It just doesn't make sense.
